Lisa has been preparing expert reports for over 10 years, and in 2023 she set up Lisa Barnes & Associates Ltd in response to increasing approaches from solicitors requesting reports requiring a broader range of expertise.
We have a growing team of experts from numerous areas of clinical practice, and Lisa provides clinical oversight, report scrutiny, peer review and mentorship for the experts who work with us.
Lisa has worked in the NHS for over 25 years, within hospitals, community, hospices, care homes, and with GP Practices. Her career began in Oncology, and later she worked across a number of other specialisms gaining clinical experience in numerous fields. Lisa’s passion is in palliative and end of life care, an area in which she continues to practice.
Lisa has prepared hundreds of reports in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for the Court including loss of service, Coronial, aids and equipment and/or care requirements, breach of duty and specialist nursing. She has given evidence in court, and has participated in numerous case conferences with Counsel, joint expert meetings, and joint discussions.
Lisa prides herself on the quality of her reports produced, and is a highly regarded and sought after expert witness.
