I am a qualified general nurse and non medical prescriber. I currently work as a senior practice nurse specialising in sexual health, vaccinations, diabetes management, and cervical screening, and I assist in minor surgery. I have also been working part-time as a Clinical Medical Examiner Officer. I also undertake clinical case management for a number of clients with neurological injury. 


Clinically, I am experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that clients receive detailed personal care plans, which are continuously reviewed and adapted to meet changing needs and preferences. I am experienced in establishing care packages, recommending and sourcing therapists, aids, and equipment, and facilitating adaptations. Moreover, I am proficient in holistic assessment, enabling the development of agreed-upon and realistic goals for each individual.


I regularly prepare nursing care, coroner, breach of duty and loss of service reports for the court, to assist both adult and paediatric cases.

I have been qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) for twenty-four years. I have worked for ten years in acute clinical settings and for fourteen years within the community. In addition to my role as an associate expert witness, I am currently working as a clinical case manager, as a specialist advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as an Out of Hours Community Nurse.


I have a wealth of experience in coronary care, diabetes and long term conditions including pulmonary disease, and renal failure. I have worked in the community as a Nurse. My duties included safe and effective care for people with traumatic injuries, long term conditions and acute illnesses, wound care, catheter/continence management, and end of life care. 


As a clinical case manager, I have facilitated the provision of effective rehabilitation programmes via the commissioning of appropriate clinicians, recruitment of support workers and equipment procurement according to the client’s individual circumstances. I have been successful in empowering clients to become more independent and achieve their own specific goals.

I have been qualified as an Occupational Therapist since 2003 and have worked within a wide range of specialisms both within the acute sector and in the community. I have worked in the case management industry since 2008 and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in working with adults and children who have sustained catastrophic injuries. 


I continue to practice as an Occupational Therapist providing hands on therapy interventions to injured individuals as part of the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team. I have worked with clients with challenging behaviour and complex family dynamics and have been responsible for the provision of assessment, recommendation and delivery of a range of therapeutic interventions for children and young adults who had complex, severe or enduring physical and/or developmental conditions that significantly affected their ability to achieve their potential in activities of daily living.

I work with adults and children with complex neurological conditions. In my Occupational Therapy role, I have specialised in disabled housing design and equipment provision. I have strong functional assessment skills and carefully consider what each client and their family need to be able to do within their homes. I work closely with architects and surveyors advising them on the adaptations and equipment that are needed within a person’s home. I have a detailed knowledge of specialist equipment and keep updated with new products coming into the market. I assist clients to apply for disabled facilities grants. I also undertake specialist wheelchair accessible vehicle assessment for clients that are wheelchair users. I work with privately funded clients, as well as clients referred from statutory services and charities. I have worked with clients in England, Scotland, Isle of Man and Australia. I regularly prepare expert accommodation reports and Occupational therapy reports to assist the court.

I have been qualified as a Registered Midwife (RM) for 26 years. I worked clinically, as a mid wife for 19 years, providing expert care in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal settings, including community midwifery where I provided safe and effective care for pregnant women and their babies.In 2008, I attained a role working within the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Midwifery, where my responsibilities included reviewing and updating clinical policies and guidelines, auditing clinical records, producing reports and action plans on the learning identified, and providing feedback to staff.


I have extensive experience in assessment, identification of risks, care planning and review, aids and equipment, care and therapy with regard to issues related to pregnancy, child birth and post-partum care.


I regularly prepare reports in regard to birth injury, midwifery care, labour ward care, and breach of duty.

  An Occupational Therapist who qualified in 2000, with over 25 years of experience working in acute, community health and social care settings. I work with adults and children. I have worked as an Advanced Case Manager for over 15 years, with adults and children with complex orthopaedic and acquired brain injuries and balance this with Medico Legal and private treatment work. 


I have a special interest in finding and adapting homes for clients with additional needs and have undertaken further training in this area.  I have a detailed knowledge of specialist equipment and keep updated with new products coming into the market.


Using my experience as an Occupational Therapist and Case Manager I act as an Expert Witness preparing care, breach of duty, accommodation and occupational therapy reports.  I am aware of my responsibilities as an expert witness under the Civil Procedure Rules. I have a sound understanding of the litigation process and regularly prepare expert reports for the court. This includes both Claimant and Defence work and breach of duty reports. I cover both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases.

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience of working in hospital and the community with people who have suffered traumatic and acquired injuries.

Since 2010 I have worked as a Clinical Case Manager and manage a varied case load of clients with complex neurological injures and physical disabilities.


As an expert witness, I have prepared numerous reports in the UK for the Court including loss of service, aids and equipment and/or care requirements, breach of duty and OT and equipment.

I have undertaken medico legal training and am aware of my responsibilities as an expert witness under the Civil Procedure Rules.

I am  a Registered General Nurse having undertaken training at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Following this, I held a variety of nursing positions both in acute and rehabilitation settings. In 2001, I entered the field of case management.

I managed a serious-injury portfolio of clients who had sustained brain injuries, spinal injuries, serious trauma, burns and child abuse cases. During 2004, I managed work injury claims for several prominent New Zealand companies and provided vocational rehabilitation, which facilitated post-injury recovery back to independence. In 2005, I received an Outstanding Service Quality in Case Management award.


After returning to the UK in 2007, I have continued to work as a Case Manager for adults with brain injury, spinal injury and polytrauma injuries. I am also experienced in the management of adolescents/adults who have cerebral palsy.


As an expert witness, I have prepared numerous reports in the UK for the Court including loss of service, aids and equipment and/or care requirements, breach of duty and specialist nursing.
